The internationally known interpreter of music
for harpsichord, clavichord and fortepiano, COLIN TILNEY, was
described by Fanfare Magazine (U.S.A.) as "one of the finest
keyboard artists of the twentieth century". His many acclaimed
recordings on Deutsche Grammophon-Archiv, Electrola, Decca-London,
Hyperion and Dorian have established him among the world's foremost
performers and scholars of the Baroque and Classical periods.
In 1979 he moved to Canada, where he was teaching at the Royal
Conservatory of Music in Toronto. At present he is on the the
faculty of the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
